Krystina Silva

I consider cities to be as great as the citizens & communities who embrace them, and I believe that effective communication exists at the heart of every human interaction.

For as long as I can remember, I have carried great deal of love for the faculty of communication. Years ago, I had no idea my decision to pursue the interests I had in academia would all come down to a keen adoration of conversation and correspondance. Whether I'm reading a fantastic novel, writing a proposal for work, working through my thesis, or chatting about my favourite new smoothie recipe, my passion for communication has dictated both my academic and professional paths.

Having been borne and raised in Edmonton, I have had the pleasure of watching this city grow and flourish into the metropolis it so deserves to be. I love the river valley in the summer, and the view of Whyte Avenue from my yoga studio in the winter. I am so proud to belong to a passionate and vibrant community, that I know is only going to continue to grow and thrive in years to come.
