About Me

I turn complex policy and data into clear, actionable insights that shape decisions and public debate. My work focuses on making evidence meaningful, accessible, and impactful for the audiences who need it most.

My primary expertise is in health policy, with additional work spanning economic, education, and energy policy.

Since 2017 I have been accepting freelance contracts as an independent Policy, Research, and Strategy Consultant. I offer adaptable support ranging from discrete tasks to full project delivery, including policy and legislative analysis, communications development, and stakeholder engagement.

Since 2017, I have provided independent consulting services in policy, research, and strategy - supporting clients with policy analysis, legislative review, communications, and stakeholder engagement, from discrete deliverables to full project execution.

Since December 2025, I am also a Senior Advisor in the Government of Alberta, working in the Strategy, Support, Integrated Services and Rural Health division (formerly the System Refocusing division) of the Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services. I support Regional Advisory Councils in producing evidence-informed recommendations that shape local health system planning.

From 2021 to 2025, I advanced through progressively senior roles at the Montreal Economic Institute (MEI), ultimately serving as Director of Research, where I led a high-performing team in producing rigorous, evidence-based analyses that shaped public debate and informed policy decisions. Before that, I spent two years as an Associate Researcher with the organization as well as five years with the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy, contributing to the Health Policy Division’s applied research agenda.

My work has been published widely - from peer-reviewed journal articles to policy e-books - and I am a frequent contributor to the public conversation through media interviews and opinion pieces. Across all these platforms, I strive to make research accessible and relevant to diverse audiences, whether policymakers, practitioners, or the broader public.

I hold multiple degrees from the University of Calgary: a Master of Public Policy, a Master of Science, a Bachelor of Arts in International Development, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. My graduate research focused on pediatric concussion policy and healthcare utilization, strengthening my expertise in health system performance. International fieldwork in Ecuador and Ghana gave me firsthand experience with diverse policy environments.

Outside of work, I’m deeply committed to community leadership, having spent over ten years volunteering, mentoring, and serving on nonprofit boards.
