Kurt Salaman
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
I was born a traveler. I've lived in 7 states in my life, from South Carolina to Oregon, Florida to Massachusetts. Those experiences in vastly different regions of the country have helped shaped my unique world view.
I am currently serving with AmeriCorps here in Boston, MA.
I have spent time in South America living and working with the Kayapo Indigenous People of Brazil. I helped operate a hostel in Rio de Janeiro and Valparaiso, Chile. I don't speak Spanish but can carry a conversation in Portuguese.
I root for the Portland Trailblazers, am an avid fantasy football fan, I like to carve my name in a mountain with my snowboard, I love scuba diving, wouldn't mind having a long board again, and am still learning new riffs on the guitar.
Cultural anthropology was my discipline of choice and Portland State University is my alma mater. I'll pursue a graduate degree sometime in the future, but for now I've got my gloves on and am fighting along side progressively minded people that will make their voices heard.
