Born in Washington D.C. and raised across the Potomac in Virginia, sometimes suburban sometimes rural, I cannot find my identify in one type of geography. Although I'm "a citizen of no obscure city" to borrow an ancient phrase from Paul (Acts 21:39) I find moments of peace in the forests of Virginia or the hills of Buda to the west of Budapest. Since 2000 I've lived in Hungary serving in various Christian ministry capacities with WorldVenture Mission. My three children grew up here in Budapest and now my wife Beverly and I are on the bridge to becoming "empty-nesters." What awaits us on the other side only God knows.
