As with many authors, Kathleen began writing when she was about ten years old. An only child, she used her imagination to entertain herself for hours. First using her dolls and stuffed animals as characters in her stories, working out the dialog and action, she later wrote those situations down creating short stories she could share with others.

A second love of Kathleen’s is creating graphics. As a tween she wrote poems to express herself for birthday and holiday cards. She’d create beautiful backgrounds to print her poetry on and would frame those images and give them as gifts.

In 2005 she started Kathleen’s Graphics website and graphic design services. Kathleen creates book covers for authors, logos and advertisements for new businesses and custom websites for anyone who needs an online presence. On top of that, Shields’ has also started to publish other authors. Erin Go Bragh Publishing opened its doors in 2015 and provides a service to authors who’d prefer to focus solely on writing and marketing.

Kathleen currently has 22 published books and many more in the works. She has the award-winning educational children’s series “The Hamilton Troll Adventures” which has 12 story books, a coloring and activity book, curriculum and soon a cookbook. She also has multiple novels for young readers, adults and Christians.

Just about every weekend you can find Kathleen setup at any number of venues selling her books. Find her at various Market Days, arts and crafts festivals, church bazaars, book signing events and more. She loves to visit schools and libraries to do readings and encouraging children to use their imaginations to write.
