Kenneth Stroer

Hello my name is Kenneth Stroer and I am 21 years old. I currently attend the University of Georgia and I am a junior there. Last year I joined the Army. Growing up I always wanted to be in the military. All I ever watch on TV is the military channel and I love everything about being in the military. I am hoping to be able to go to Med School. After Med School I am hoping to be a General Surgeon for the Army. More specifically I want to be a surgeon for the Army Rangers. The Army Rangers are part of a group in the military that falls under Special Operations. Special Operations is different than Special Forces. Special Forces deals with indirect objectives, while the Rangers deal with indirect objectives as well as direct objectives. Since I am in college I am doing ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Course) so that when I graduate Undergrad I will be an Officer in the Army. ROTC does not teach military hand to hand training to us because of liability and safety concerns. I have taken it upon myself to learn Army hand to hand training at a Martial Arts gym that is own by a guy that was in the Army Special Forces for 18 years. I have been enjoying it a lot and have been learn a ton.
