I'm an experienced fiction editor and a professional member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.

I offer a range of editorial services for independent fiction authors. From manuscript critiquing, to substantive editing, to line and copy-editing, to formatting and proofreading, I can help make your novel or short story the best it can be.

Fiction editing isn't like any other kind of editing; there are very few rigid rules, and you want an editor who knows when to enforce rules and when to let your voice and creativity shine through. I am experienced enough to know when to leave well alone, as well as to recognise when things could be tweaked to make them even better.

I like to form long-term relationships with my authors and watch their careers take off. I spend hours every week chatting to my authors over e-mail about a variety of things, from plans for their next novels to marketing their books.
