Karen Espinola

Hey, my name is Karen Espinola. I am a fourth year Creative Industries student at Ryerson University, focusing on storytelling in media and communication studies. Please don’t ask me to explain my program!

I am currently a Transition and Events Assistant for Ryerson Student Life Programs, a department in Ryerson Student Affairs. I am passionate about sports, graphic design, and food. I do my best to incorporate what I love into my everyday routine without overworking my passions.

As of late, I have been interested in community engagement and leadership development within smaller communities. This summer I am pursuing my interests through my position on the Ryerson Orientation Team, where I will be an events assistant.

I’m also graduating this year, which is an insane thought! Four years at Ryerson flew by so quick considering the amount of changes in my time here. I’ve met so many new people, been part of a lot of student groups that have changed my perspective on a lot of things in my life, and I have had a countless amount of jobs that have helped me figure out what I don’t want to do with my life - which helps me narrow down what I want to do, but I still have no idea what that is. Here’s hoping I figure it out soon!
