Katherine Torres

I am passionate about learning, as well as sharing my knowledge and experience to benefit my community.

I studied English Literature and Journalism at Arizona State University, where I graduated from 2012. I knew when I completed my studies there that I wasn’t done learning, and sure enough, I proved myself correct. I’m now studying Computer Science at the University of Utah, which has certainly broadened my skill set and capabilities.

I currently work at the Salt Lake City Public Library as a Marketing and Communications Specialist, where I craft content for the web, brochures, press releases, printed handouts, email blasts, and social media. I also coordinate deliverables from the Communications Team to other departments within the Library, and manage timelines and deadlines.

When I’m not at work or school, I enjoy being with my husband, Bryce, and my two dogs, Arthur and Buster. I truly believe that grabbing life by the horns pays off, and I Iook forward to shaking things up in the near and distant future.
