Katherine Rawson

I am a writer, teacher, wild foods forager, gardener, and lover of all things parrot. My first book for children, "If You Were a Parrot", was inspired by my pet, Shadow, a small green parrot with a big personality. Shadow and I live in a small town in rural New England, where we enjoy taking walks on dirt roads, watching the "outside" birds, growing flowers and vegetables, foraging, and making pancakes. We also like reading books together. Shadow's favorite part of a book is when she gets to chew the pages.
