Kuhan Ram is a Melaka-based youth leader, political activist, entrepreneur and community organiser. His leadership journey spans more than a decade across politics, youth development, NGOs, entrepreneurship, sports and community service.

PERSONAL & EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Kuhan Ram is 33 years old in 2026 and is from Melaka.

His educational qualifications include:

• Master in Management – European International University
• Bachelor of Public Administration – Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)
• Diploma in Management – Politeknik Merlimau

He is also a two-time recipient of the Anugerah Belia Perdana Negara at Melaka state level.

POLITICAL LEADERSHIP

Kuhan Ram currently serves as Ketua Pemuda MIC Negeri Melaka, a position he has held since 2024.

His political leadership journey includes:

• Ketua Pemuda Cawangan – 2019

Kuhan Ram has also served as ADUN Belia DUN Taboh Naning N05 since 2024.

Through his involvement in Dewan Belia, he has advocated for greater opportunities for young people, particularly in education, sports, entrepreneurship, leadership and community development.

He believes young people should not merely be participants but should be given meaningful opportunities to contribute ideas and participate in decision-making.

YOUTH & NGO LEADERSHIP

Apart from politics, Kuhan Ram has been actively involved in various youth and community organisations.

His leadership experience includes:

• National Information Chief, MIYC – 2018
• Secretary, Majlis Gabungan Belia Daerah Alor Gajah – 2018 hingga kini
• Assistant Secretary, Majlis Gabungan Belia Melaka – 2024 hingga kini

His involvement in both political and non-political youth organisations has provided him with extensive grassroots experience.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Entrepreneurship is another important part of Kuhan Ram's journey.

He believes entrepreneurship can create employment, develop young people's independence and strengthen local communities.

One of his notable projects is KZ Snooker Club in the Simpang Ampat/Alor Gajah area of Melaka.

KZ Snooker Club has been developed not only as a business but also as a platform for sports and youth development.

Through KZ, various initiatives have been organised, including junior snooker training, U18 programmes, U25 competitions, open tournaments and opportunities for young players to develop their talents.

SPORTS DEVELOPMENT

Kuhan Ram has consistently promoted sports as an effective platform for youth development.

Through snooker, futsal, Silambam and other sporting activities, he has encouraged young people to participate in healthy and productive activities.

He particularly believes in identifying talented young people at grassroots level and providing them with opportunities to progress further.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Community service remains an important part of his leadership.

His involvement covers areas including:

Rather than beginning directly at state leadership level, he progressed through youth organisations, MIC branch and divisional structures, NGOs, Dewan Belia and community programmes before becoming Ketua Pemuda MIC Negeri Melaka.

His objective is to continue serving the people of Melaka, empower younger generations and create more opportunities for young people to participate in leadership, entrepreneurship, education and sports.
