Kulin Oak
Student and Teacher in Troy, MI
Hi. My name is Kulin. I am a senior at Troy High School and was born in Troy Michigan. I live with my Mom, Dad and older brother, as well as several pets. I consider myself an outgoing person and I love to meet new people.
Growing up, I was always surrounded by music. Both my parents as well as my brother are musicians, so it is only natural that I follow suit. I have a deep passion for music. I play the guitar, drums, piano, and I’m the lead singer for the Troy High Jazz Band. I also sang in the 2017 Troy High Half Time Show with the marching band.
Apart from music, I also love learning about different languages and cultures, and was fortunate enough to have being given the opportunity to learn Spanish at Troy High for four years. I also enjoy teaching others and I even work as a teacher at an SAT/ACT test prep center. This job has allowed me to pursue my love for teaching, as well as help other kids achieve their best possible scores on these important tests. Finally, I love all things small and furry and live with two rabbits named Henry and Elmo (Elmo is the vicious one, and just to my luck, the bigger one as well.) I am also working on convincing my parents to get me a puppy. (It’s a daily battle; I’ll keep you posted).
So, this is me! Hopefully after reading this, you get a better sense of who I am. I’d love to learn about who you are as well!
P.S. Horror movies aren’t my thing.
