I am a doctoral student in the Second Language Studies program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Before joining UH, I completed the Language Program Management Certificate with Teacher's College, Columbia University.

I earned an MA in Linguistics from SOAS University of London, and my Bachelor's degree was in Politics from Nottingham Trent University.

My professional interests center on nurturing “critical consciousness” and as an interdisciplinary researcher I'm interested in how emotions - particularly “uncomfortable” feelings - can be reframed as sites for transformation for students, teachers, and the language teaching organization.
