Kurian Thott

A respected Virginia physician, Dr. Kurian Thott currently serves as chief of Stafford Hospital’s OB/GYN department and leads the Women's Health and Surgery Center. Dr. Kurian Thott has a particular emphasis on pelvic reconstruction and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and he also addresses issues of female sexual dysfunction and infertility.

An active teacher and consultant in his field, Dr. Thott travels extensively to provide other gynecologic surgeons with training in advanced laparoscopic techniques. He works with the Johnson and Johnson Company Ethicon, LLC, to guide a total laparoscopic hysterectomy boot camp course. In addition to providing in-person trainings, Dr. Thott leads the mobile physician app and web platform supplier instaRounds, LLC, as medical director. He founded the HIPAA-compliant platform to enable physicians to coordinate care with multiple practitioners and facilitate real-time communication about patient status.

Dr. Kurian Thott’s professional responsibilities extend to a position as program director at Mary Washington Healthcare’s Center of Excellence Minimally Invasive Gynecology. He also serves as committee chair and board member of the Mary Washington Health Alliance.
