Kurt Budiarto

Hi. My name is Kurt Budiarto and I am a photographer currently based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I specialize in portrait, model, and event photography.

When I was a kid, my dad introduced me to film photography. He was a photographer trained in the arts of producing photographs in the darkroom. I used to watch him passionately develop negatives in our home's washroom which he transformed into a darkroom on a nightly basis. Seeing photos come out under chemical liquids was very intriguing, so I thought.

Yet, it was not until the summer of 2006 while in graduate school that I started to pick up my first camera and teach myself photography.

In 2011, I moved to Toronto, Canada. Soon I started meeting new people and do fashion photoshoot collaborations with local models, makeup artists, and stylists. Since then I find myself shooting portraits for models and fashion companies.
