Kurt Cellar

Finance professional Kurt Cellar earned his bachelor of arts in economics and business from the University of California, Los Angeles. He achieved numerous distinctions as an undergraduate, receiving the highest honors in economics and earned Phi Beta Kappa honors. After spending four years in strategy consulting and private equity, Kurt Cellar enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and graduated with a master of business administration in finance and entrepreneurial management.

Over the course of his career in business, Mr. Cellar has held a number of associate and partner positions, at firms such as LEK/Alcar Consulting Group, Inc., and Bay Harbour Management. Furthermore, since 2010, he has held corporate director positions in a wide range of industries. He serves Six Flags Entertainment Corporation as Chairman of the Audit Committee, and he previously belonged to the CEO Search Committee. Kurt Cellar also holds the position of Chairman of the Compensation Committee at U.S. Concrete, Inc., one of the leading concrete companies in the United States. He is Chairman of the Nominating and Governance committee of Horizon Lines, the nations leading Jones Act shipping company and Co-Chairman of the board of med tech company, Angiotech Pharmaceuticals based in Vancouver, Canada.
