Kurt Israel is a music executive who has been in the industry since 2001.
Kurt Israel spent the first 12 years of his life in Jamaica where he was exposed to the iconic art & culture of live reggae music. Watching his dad play drums during Praise and Worship inspired him to join the church band and play drums and he did for 8 years between Jamaica and Toronto.
The musical knowledge and industry connections he made during that time led him to believe that music was his passion. Kurt Israel decided it was time to advance his career in music and moved from Toronto to New York in 2006 to manage his own company, OMG Productions, distribution through Universal Music Group. Working in major studios as an A&R and continuing to network was all a part of the job. Kurt had so much passion that he turned his job into a lifestyle and decided it was time to move back to Toronto in 2009. Living downtown in the core of the Entertainment District allowed him to maximize his talent to reach out to all types of artists and entrepenuers. Mark Berry, (AMG, Sony) and Jim Zolis (Roseroom Studios) were mentors to Kurt in Executive Producing projects and this is where Kurt was able to expand his skills and clientele.
In 2013 Kurt found himself in a position to put on major concerts and events in the Caribbean country of St.Lucia. His 'OMG Fest' was the talk of the Islands. Kurt organized and managed 3 shows and organized a 3-on-3 basketball event. He recognizes its success due to various Promotional strategy like: Radio Ads, Bus Wraps, and Billboards. He also partnered and with top companies such as Digicel & Flow, and recording artists such as Tarrus Riley, Beenie Man, Tanya Stephenson, Razor B and Popcaan, While Kurt gained knowledge in executing big events, he couldn't wait to get back into the studios to record.
Currently, Kurt operates as a mobile music executive serving artists all over the world for 17 years. He has also dabbled in Sports Management and Food and combined these two things with his passion for Music. Clients have trusted them with their art and Kurt continues to commit in delivering the energy and knowledge to succeed in their career.
