My passion is telling stories.

I'm in search of more stories to tell.

I'm eager to partner with people, businesses and organizations to tell their stories. As British author Philip Pullman said, "After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need the most in the world."

My day job is working as a communications director for a central Ohio school district. My tasks include finding fresh ways to tell the stories of how our schools are inspiring students to succeed.

I moonlight as a freelance writer tackling projects including press releases, website content, marketing blurbs and blog entries.

Previous to public relations I covered the community as a newspaper reporter for 18 years. I loved covering the education beat and telling stories of area artists, writers, photographers and musicians as well as people overcoming obstacles in their lives.

The key to it all is telling a good story and having that story be heard. Stories motivate people and help them to understand. They influence what people think and say about you, elevating the importance of being the person to tell your own story.
