Kurush Mistry, a skilled commodities analyst, has expertise in Crude Oil, Refined Products, and Renewable Fuels. He was born in India and graduated from the country's top management school. He has had a diverse career at reputable organizations, navigating through significant changes. After obtaining a degree in Commerce from Chennai, India, he became a Chartered Accountant, ranking among the top performers in all three qualifying exams. With a solid foundation, he decided to expand his opportunities and knowledge and pursued an MBA at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, with a focus on finance.

This experience exposed him to the latest business concepts, allowed him to work in teams with peers from diverse educational backgrounds, and honed his problem-solving and communication skills. Kurush's professional journey began in 2003 at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo, where he joined their Interest Rate Strategies Team after completing his MBA. In 2005, he moved to Lehman in New York and worked with their award-winning Interest Rate Strategies team until 2008, managing a diverse portfolio of products, including US Government Bonds and Interest Rate Derivatives. He gained a strong reputation among Lehman's US clients, which included some of the largest banks, mortgage companies, and pension funds, and made significant contributions to the team's growth.

Following the financial crisis in 2009, Kurush shifted his analytical and problem-solving skills to a new industry and joined Morgan Stanley, a leading oil trading firm at the time. He worked on their US gasoline and diesel physical trading team, building analytics, developing profitable strategies with traders, and gaining experience in both physical and paper gasoline trading. His brief experience in trading gives him a unique perspective in his analytical work and allows him to have more in-depth conversations with his trader clients. Since 2014, he worked for Freepoint Commodities as their lead refined products and renewable fuels analyst.
