Kevin L. Voorheis
Realtor in Dripping Springs, Texas
I was born in the small West Texas town of Sulphur Springs and raised in the even smaller, Central Texas, one stoplight town of Dripping Springs. Following high school and shortly after the tragedies on September 11, 2001, I decided to serve my country and joined the United States Navy. Upon completion of boot camp in the frigid Great Lakes area, I attended a year of training in San Diego after which time I was fortunate enough to get orders on a ship out of beautiful Pearl Harbor, Hawai’i. During my five year tour of duty on that ship, the USS Crommelin, I was deployed three times conducting counter-narcotics operations in the South Pacific and the Caribbean in support of United States Coast Guard operations. I have endless sea stories that I share often.
After completing my six year enlistment in 2008, I decided to stay in Hawai’i to serve my community in the capacity of real estate agent. As you likely recall, these were incredibly turbulent times in the real estate industry, but I did not let this slow me down. My drive and determination made me a success in the industry and a top producer at RE/MAX Honolulu.
During my seven years as a real estate agent in Hawai’i I also decided to return to the classroom. I attended Hawai’i Pacific University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Finance and went on to earn an MBA there as well, graduating with high honors in both. After almost 14 years away from home, I decided to return to Texas to team up with my mother selling residential and commercial real estate with the broker Avalar Austin Real Estate. I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with family serving our community with a higher level of service than what is possible working individually. Our clients get two agents for the price of one!
If you have friends, family or coworkers who are looking to buy or sell residential or commercial real estate, my mother and I would be honored to be the agents to represent them.
