Hi, my name is Kevin Walsh and I collect figurines. This here is Fat Tony the Tiger, he is my favorite find out of my whole collection. Fat Tony was made by a company that goes by the name Faker Oats. These guys make a large variety of highly collectible figures that are spoofs of existing characters. Fat Tony is very special to me for many reasons. One such reason is how I ended up obtaining him. It happened this past summer when a friend of mine and I went to a gaming convention all the way up in Philadelphia. As we were browsing the various games and collectables, I came across this massive figurine of an overweight Tony the Tiger. I was incredibly intrigued and asked the guy running the stand how much he was selling it for. He had told me that it was quite rare and went for around $100.00. I knew that I could not afford to fork over that much cash for a mere figurine. I asked if there was anything I could do to get him to bring down the price, he smiled and then proceeded to pull out a massive jar of jellybeans. He said if I payed him a dollar, I could take a guess of how many jellybeans are in the jar, and if I was right, he’d give me Tony. I made my first guess of 2,432 jellybeans and he told me I was too high. I guessed again at 1,933 jellybeans, he told me I was too low. I had told myself that this was a dangerous path I was going down, so I decided that my next guess would be my last. I guess 2,045 jellybeans, the gentleman at the stand looked shocked, and after taking a second to realize what had happened, he handed me Fat Tony and said, “take good care of him.”
