I have been working in the IT industry for 15 years. Prior to that, I had the pleasure of serving in the United States Navy for 4 years in the electronics field as a Fire Controlman (FC). In the Navy I worked with advanced gun and missile systems.
My first job out of the military was as a Quality Assurance Tester for American Megatrends where I tested BIOS for compatibility and functionality. This was a great job as I got exposure to firmware, software, and hardware testing. I soon became QA manager where I managed a team of 7-10 engineers. Working for AMI, for several years building and breaking down PC's gave me a great understanding of PC architecture. While managing gave me a great understanding of the value of building teams and managing relationships. I then moved on to contract work for Sony Electronics as a Software Test Lead for a huge digital archive project at Turner Broadcasting Systems (TBS) where my focus soon became performance and automation testing.
While challenged with rolling out a very new and complex video digitizing and asset management system I was introduced to performance testing and performance testing tools. I soon realized this is where my passion lies and have been in performance testing for the past eight years working for Turner Broadcasting as a QA Consultant. During this time I have completed numerous projects and have experience with WEB/HTML, J2EE, Ajax, .Net, MS IIS, MS SQL, Oracle, Java, Mainframe, Soap, Websphere, Windows, UNIX, Linux, Oracle Forms, PeopleSoft and various other technologies and architectures.
