Kwashie Senam Zilevu

Chief Technology Officer CTO at Mizan Energy in Woodbridge, VA, USA

I am Kwashie Senam Zilevu, the Chief Technology Officer at Mizan Energy, where I lead the digital systems that support complex energy operations. I was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, and from an early age I was drawn to problem-solving and understanding how systems work. That curiosity led me to study at Virginia Tech, where I graduated in 2008 and built a strong technical foundation.

I began my career as a software engineer, working close to the code and learning firsthand how reliable systems are built and maintained. Over time, my role expanded into leadership, where I now focus on designing technology that is stable, scalable, and practical. I believe technology should support people quietly and effectively, not distract from the work being done.

At Mizan Energy, my focus is on long-term digital resilience, operational efficiency, and system integrity. I approach leadership with consistency and clarity, grounded in real-world experience.

Outside of work, I enjoy flying private planes, traveling, reading, and playing soccer. I am also committed to giving back through regular church-based philanthropy. I believe progress comes from discipline, steady improvement, and long-term thinking.
