I am a writer and English professor living in Macon, Georgia.
My book of poems, The House Began to Pitch, was honored in 2012 with the Adrienne Bond Poetry Award. A former president of the Georgia Writer's Association, I have a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in creative writing from Florida State University, and I teach at Middle Georgia State University. I have also published in Crab Orchard Review, Meridian, Poetry International, The South Dakota Review, and Slipstream, among other magazines, as well as the anthologies Writing on Napkins at the Sunshine Club and Inspired Georgia.
