Kyle Shannon

Hey, I'm Kyle! I am from Kelowna, BC and am currently living in Toronto Ontario. I have played and performed at numerous bars, events and festivals throughout BC, Alberta, Ontario, Idaho, Washington, and California as a singer, saxophonist, and bassist being involved in groups such as; The Canada Allstar Jazz Band, Reptile Dysfunction, Fudunkafunk, The Cats Without Hats, Split The Silence, and The Heavy Heavies . I also have experience teaching having taught saxophone, flute, and clarinet at Merriam's School of Music.

Currently, I spend most of my time writing, singing, playing, recording and performing my music with my band "The Whoopsies", as well as my top 40 cover band called "The Smooth 7." The music I write now is that of a Pop and R&B vibe, embodying styles blending Bruno Mars and Radiohead to name a couple influences.

Highlights:Opening for Shad in London, Ontario with The Heavy Heavies, being chosen as a saxophonist for The Canada Yamaha All Star Big Band in 2010, and coming second In BC's Best Teen Band Competition with my first band, Split The Silence.

Parking: paid for by the venue/event coordinator

Admission/Tickets: Band members will not have to pay for all events of festival/show etc.

Hospitality: minimum of one alcoholic beverage for each band member, meal provided if gig is more than 3 hours.

PA: 2 large & 2 medium PA speakers, 1 12 channel desk mixer, 2 speaker stands. IF NOT PROVIDED, $100 WILL BE ADDED FOR RENTAL
