Throughout my entire life I have always been a huge sports enthusiast. My love for sports began when I first picked up a bat and glove to play t-ball. The rest is history. After graduating from t-ball, I started to play for my local little league where I learned that I was really good at baseball.
During my tenure, I made the all-star team every year that I played little league from age 7-12. During my 10u all-star season, my team and I were able to win the North Carolina Championship and advance to the Southeast regional tournament. After finishing all my years of eligibility for little league, I started to play baseball for my school and also a showcase team. Playing for 2 teams made my years very busy because I had weekend showcase tournaments and then school practices and games all week. I came to hate showcase ball because of this, but school ball kept my love for baseball alive.
This past May, after playing my last high school game, I hung up my cleats, put away my bat bag and thought my baseball career was over. Once arriving at UGA I realized that something was missing. When I walked by the club baseball teams table at the UGA engagement fair, I realized that I was missing baseball. I decided to lace up my cleats and see if I could make it past tryouts. I am thankful enough to say that I made the team very easily and my love for baseball continues even beyond the field.
Baseball has always been my main love, however I will still play or watch any and every sport. So far this semester I have organized and captained 4 intramural sports teams and the year isn't even half way over. Beyond sports I am intending on being an economics major and I am most looking forward to my upcoming Maymester in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.
