Kyle Coston

I put words together is poignant, cleaver, and sometimes unforgettable ways. I was first inspired to follow the path of the wordsmith when I originally read the works of Douglas Adams in high school. I remember thinking 'here's an intelligent man being silly and having a good time, I think I'd like to do this.' Since then my writing has evolved significantly. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's like if Neil Gaiman and George RR Martin got into a knife fight one night and you heard the entire story from Jack Kerouac. In 2005 I left my small town home for the life changing experience of college. At school I honed and perfected my chosen craft. During this time I won several collegiate awards for my work, which had begun to take on a voice all my own. In 2011, after years of neglecting my need to expound words, I started blogging. I currently write for three blogs; the most successful is Dragons in the Kitchen or DTK, a blog about my ongoing Dungeons and Dragons games with my friends as well as board games and tips for other Dungeon Masters. In 2012 I discovered this thing called 'social media'. Since then I've been experimenting with it, trying to turn it into the networking beast that I keep hearing it's capable of becoming. If you find need for a prodigious wordsmith at your publication or company, I am available for freelance writing, editing, and consultations.
