If you've stumbled in here, I'm guessing you want to know a little about me. So, howdy. I'm Kylee. I'm a thirty something girl who has just recently decided to find her way in the plus size world.
If anyone had asked me to describe myself six months ago, I would have said a fat and frumpy Mummy. Before anyone gets their knickers in a twist and tells me to stop being so self depreciating, the plain and simple truth was, that's who I was. I had given up. Three kids and working full time had taken it's toll. I had no me time. Actually rephrase that, I made no me time. I would only buy clothes that where predominately black and shapeless. I rarely wore make up. My hair was the same every.freakin'.day. I knew I had to change but to be honest didn't know how.
Slowly I started paying more attention to people around me. What where they wearing? How did they accessorise? Did I like their look? Would that look work on me? In the beginning I bought a few acccessories, a new cardi, some shoes...well lots of shoes if I was to be honest. Just subtle changes.
Then the day came when I clicked through a few different links and landed on one of the Aussie Curves blogs and the light switch flicked on. I was letting my body issues get in the way of who I was. I didn't have to be boring, I didn't have to be a Nanna. I want to be me and if that means getting out of my comfort zone to make the inside me reflect on the outside, then so be it.
Still want to know more? As I touched on earlier, I'm a Mum of three and wife of one. My husband and I have been together for a long twenty years of arguing, bickering and sarcasm but with a whole lot of laughs thrown in (which I couldn't imagine any other way. We have three mischievous Monkeys. Mr 9 is the helper, the rulemaker (and frequently the rule breaker), the lover not the fighter, the chatterbox, the heart breaker and the battler of autism. Mr 8 is the tech nerd, the class clown, the one sent to us to test our patience, the comedian, the rockstar, the fighter, and the little "big" brother. Then we have Miss 4. She is the movie star, the princess, the diva, the drama queen, the stubbornest, the loudest, the most temperamental, but the sweetest.
