In March 2010, I stood on the ledge of a rusty Costa Rican bridge, atop a rocky river gorge, preparing for my first bungee jump.
I was on a break from my day job back in Texas, where I had grown pale and uninspired after five years under the fluorescent lights of my cubicle. I was hungry for a change.
My dive off the bridge that day marked a turning point in my life, from which I took another huge chance by leaving my comfortable paycheck at an uninspiring job in pursuit of something more.
I took out a loan, went back to school, and reignited my love affair with learning. Today, I am a part-time teacher and full-time world traveler. You can find me on my yoga mat, at the beach with my dog, or curled up with a good book and a cappuccino (with cinnamon). I am passionate about helping students master the English language and develop a personal connection to writing. Most importantly, I am happier than ever.
