I remember back to the days of being daddy's little farm girl, checking the irrigation water on our alfalfa fields, and spending countless hours in our old worn-out tractor.
My usual dress attire for those days consisted of a ball cap advertising my dad's farm, along with a plain t- shirt, tattered jean shorts, and rubber boots that were a half size too big.
At that age, I never dreamed of doing the things that I am today. I only imagined myself as being grown up, of course, slightly taller, but still in those grungy rubber boots with that ball cap.
A lot has changed since my days of rubber boots, not just on the outside, but change on the inside in my way of thinking.
If it weren't for all of those factors working collectively, to this day I would be just a typical girl with a vision of being someone, but no way to get there.
