When I was first hired out of college, the company operations were run in the heads of two people. There was no computer system for operations or manufacturing. The company had grown so much that it could no longer be run out of people’s heads and we needed a system. Due to time and money, we decided to build our own internal ERP system in Excel with VBA. I was the project lead in the development of the ERP system, I managed two interns in the development.
Once the development was handed off to manufacturing, I rotated into Sales and Marketing as a marketing business analyst. Using a combination of SQL and Python, I automated a crucial business process ensuring all had up to date information. I also conducted market research, highlighting our total available market and share of market.
