Kyle MacGibbon

Kyle MacGibbon is a retired Illinois corporate executive with a prior service background as an active duty Captain, in the U.S. Army. In his most recent position as a senior director of global marketing with Abbott Diagnostics, Kyle MacGibbon delivered consistent sales & margin results totaling billions of dollars. Developing long-term strategic plans, he guided his team in significantly boosting expansion for the immunoassay reagent franchise while ensuring the development of additional immunoassays that would sustain a market & competitive leadership position for years to come.

Mr. MacGibbon’s leadership was honed at the United States Military Academy at West Point and refined during his successful 5 year, Active Duty Military Career as an Air Defense Artillery officer. His military experience experience includes leadership assignments as platoon leader of a 50 person iHAWK Air Defense Artillery platoon charged with managing; training; logistics and mission accomplishment during the early 1980's. During his time as platoon Leader he was recognized as one of the top junior officers in the entire 24th Infantry Division by the Commanding General. He next served as the company Executive Officer for a 150 person company ensuring mission readiness and training responsibilities for the entire company. Captain MacGibbon next served as a Battalion operations officer responsible for managing the upgrade of all iHAWK equipment for the entire 600 person Battalion and for evaluating the mission readiness of the Battalion during numerous field deployments. His last assignment was as the TRADOC Systems Manager at the U.S. Army Air Defense School. In thus role he was responsible for developing sustained improvements to the iHAWK Missile System to keep it viable in meeting mission readiness, against new and evolving threats, through the life cycle of the missile system.

As a member of the Abbott team, Mr. MacGibbon earned numerous recognitions, including the firm’s highest honor, the Chairman's Award. He also was selected as Abbott Regional Field Product Manager of the Year.
