I currently go to Bergen County Technical High School. I have a huge passion for the art of both digital and film photography. It all started my freshman year when I got my first Nikon DSLR. As soon as I got it I went online and googled everything there is to know about dslr's. I brought it to school and a student who was a senior at the time took me under his wing and showed me just about everything I needed to know. I have since then grown my knowledge of photography outside the realm of digital, and have mastered film photography. I went on eBay and purchased a Canon AE-1 35mm SLR camera. I shot a roll of film after reading the somewhat entertaining 70's camera manual. I then decided I wanted to develop this roll of film on my own. It is something I have wanted to do since I was little; when I saw darkrooms in the movies. So I went to B&H; in manhattan and bought the tank and all chemicals necessary to do so. What a feeling of accomplishment it was to transfer real life into tiny negatives through the science end of photography. I have recently been utilizing my skills in my older brothers magazine; Groove Magazine. It is a small music based publication that him and all of his friends decided to start last summer. It can be found in it's entirety at groovezine.com. I was appointed the roll of chief photographer, and I am very proud of all the work I have done for that magazine. Now that my high school carreer is ending in about a year it is time for me to move on to bigger and better things.
