Kyle Monster

A young and upstart Canadian singer-songwriter residing in Vancouver, British Columbia currently hard at work recording his debut acoustic EP to be released in the Spring of 2013.

Kyle Monster has an insatiable appetite for experiencing the world around him. His childlike curiosity and hunger for understanding all of life's intangible nuances is what makes his music so genuine. Kyle has always been fascinated by the emotional communication of music and often finds himself associating times in his life from childhood to early manhood with some form of soundtrack. This belief that music in his life has and will always act as a personalized time capsule fuels his love for the nostalgia behind the art of music. The ability to tell a story and create a way of revisiting a moment and or emotion through song is one he continually strives to harbor. Brought up in Kelowna, a growing city fueled by it's athletics, Kyle spent most of his years creating memories and strong friendships through sport. Surrounded by a close knit family and group of friends, Kyle tributes most of his strength and lack of fear to be his own person to the stability and love those closest to him provided. His hunger for music led him to Jazz and more specifically the Saxophone. Studying theory and the art of arrangement under the guidance and mentorship of his High School Professor, he got to learn an emotional and technical appreciation for the arts, one that has surely stayed with him. After calling an end to his collegiate baseball career, Kyle experienced a void and lack of illumination in his life but music and his new found love for songwriting came to be the light at the end of the tunnel. Kyle now resides in the beautiful harbor city of Vancouver, British Columbia after receiving a scholarship in the recording arts. Working on filling out his sound and identity within his music, Kyle and his team of loyal supporters are hard away working on his debut EP to be released in 2013. The journey has just begun but the future seems brighter then ever.
