Kyle Oliveira

What's up! My name is Kyle Oliveira and I'm a fourth year student at Ryerson University, currently studying Sport Media.

When I'm not at school, you can find me working on my writing. Over the past few years I have written for my own personal website, for The Eyeopener at Ryerson and for Raptors Rapture (a Toronto Raptors blog).

As someone could probably guess considering my program at Ryerson, my main passion in life is sports. Sports represent a sense of community for me, and allow me to engage with fans from every corner of my life towards a common passion.

Another large interest of mine is music. In my free time I enjoy writing songs, and my favourite genres are R&B, Hip Hop and Alternative.

Once I graduate, I hope to enter the Sport Media industry at a company such as TSN or Sportsnet. Getting the opportunity to start at the bottom of one of these prestigious companies and learning my way up would be a perfect scenario. Although that's my preferred career direction, I'm keeping my options open. It's a crazy industry, and many people say that they didn't end up in the job they thought they would have.
