Kyle Shumway

I am a product of my environment, born of two good parents, raised with 3 siblings and several family pets, I am a well adjusted individual who seeks logic and wisdom over visions of grandeur. My daughter is the light of my life, anything I do that is good is done with her in mind. I have made many lasting friendships all over the world and hope to make more.

My little girl, born early in 2009 keeps me on my toes. Smart and funny as they all seem to be, she has brought purpose and joy to my life. She's unmistakably a daddy's girl, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have a great passion for music, not just listening to it but writing, recording, and teaching as well. I started playing the Saxophone in 7th grade and once in High School I ventured on to other musical outlets. I played the French Horn for a year, the Baritone for a semester, all while learning the Drums and Guitar. In 1999 I started teaching private Guitar and Bass Guitar lessons. In 2009 I started teaching Drums as well. There are few things that compare to the joy I receive in teaching. Witnessing the growth of skill and understanding in my students, as they push and strive each and every week to accomplish their goals is nothing less than amazing to me. Over the years I have played in several groups, on several different instruments and have had time in the recording studio. When the night stamps out the chaos of the day, I like to sit down with a guitar and unwind with some new song material.
