Sous chef, butcher, real estate professional, bodybuilder...take your pick, I've done them all. Started cooking at 16 years old, interned my tail off and found myself as sous chef for a four and a half star restaurant by the age of 19.
Kept pursuing my passion and fled to Italy to become a butcher's apprentice for world-renowned: Dario Cecchini. Ran his restaurants and literally honed my skills as a butcher and chef and returned home after a few months.
Fast forward through my days of Crossfitting and strict Paleo eating and I found myself just spinning my wheels. Thinking those two things were the magic formula to getting my best body when, in reality I was over eating, under training and not making any sort of aesthetic progress. It was time to take a step back and really set my goals for the coming year.
I thought, "what better way to get my best body ever then stepping on stage at a bodybuilding show?" So that's just what I did, 6 months and 30lbs later I completed my first bikini competition and fell in love with the sport! Knowing my bigger frame and ability to put on muscle quickly was optimal for a figure competitor, I quickly switched over to competing in figure and still to this day, love the sport more than ever.
I have 3 figure shows under my belt, a few different coaches (still looking for that perfect fit!) and am determined that 2016 will be my year for competing. I'm mentally healthy going into my off-season (dealt with binge eating for about a year competing and have conquered that) and have found my healthy relationship with food!
I'm currently the marketing manager for a real estate firm starting to get my feet wet and explore a career in the fitness industry. For now, I'll be building my personal training business in person as well as online. My hope is to be able to at least change a few lives, expand my knowledge of this business even more and figure out where I fit in the fitness industry!
