Brandon Thompson

This is Brandon Thompson. He is nineteen years old and will turn twenty years old on February 14. He hates that his birthday is on Valentines Day because it’s already celebrated by everyone and isn’t as special. He attended Brentsville District High School in Nokesville, Virginia. His favorite color is blue. He listens to country music the most often but will listen to rap on occasion. He played football and wrestled all through out high school. He was an All-State wrestler throughout high school and was invited to a national tournament his senior year. Brandon considered community college and West Virginia University his senior year before deciding to attend Shenandoah University. His attendance here at Shenandoah is mainly due to football, but also to go away from home and go have the experience of being on his own. He plays defensive line for the hornets. He did not start this year; however he did play two snaps in one game of varsity. He had a hard time getting his sports physical to play football here at Shenandoah because he has sustained nine concussions. He has also recently lost one of his friends because of a concussion and the effects of CTE. His major is Criminal Justice, and is pursuing a minor in business management. He aspires to become a Police Officer. Both his brother and father are Police officers and have motivated him to do the same. Brandon’s hobbies include sports, weight lifting, video games, and fishing. This summer he mainly spent time working at a landscaping company. His only complain was that none of his co-workers could speak English, so it made it difficult to work day to day. This would explain why his least favorite class is Spanish. After work he would either work out at his high school gym or go cat fishing at night.
