Kyoto Protocol was formed by a group of angsty but fun-loving adolescent males who embarked on a quest to explore sonical frontiers together. They combined their varied influences ranging from The Clash to Queens of the Stone Age to create an eclectic mix of punk, soul and electro. Things got serious when their raw passion was validated as talent after they won 1st place in the Yamaha Asian Beat Central Region Finals. There was no turning back… Today, they play some of the most infectious, experimental yet listenable rock in Malaysia; their impressive accolades include coveted slots such as opening for MGMT Live in Kuala Lumpur, Rock the World 2009 & 2010, VW Festival 2010, Urbanscapes 2010 and Baybeats (Singapore) 2010.
