These are a few of my favorite things...

practicing yoga anywhere. dancing in the rain. typography. cooking up a storm. texas pride. engraved stationery. dogs. monograms. entrepreneurs. meeting new people. thunderstorms. classical indian dancing. blue bell icecream. fresh flowers. breathtaking sunsets. the smell of new books. traveling the globe. philosophical conversations. rollercoasters.

...rain drops on roses (just kidding)

Hello! I'm Krishna and I am the Chief Marketing Officer of Needle in a Haystack, a darling invitation and gift store and my family business of 26 years! Having been raised in the store since I was a young child, I have learned many valuable skills which have impacted my professional growth. While the store gives me an opportunity to show off my creative side with designing beautiful invitations, I also get to be in my true element when I'm teaching yoga to a room full of students. You read that right, I'm also a yoga instructor! The most rewarding part about both of my jobs is making a difference in someone else's life, which I'm fortunate to experience quite often.

I've come to a point in my life where I want to positively impact more people, specifically children. Eventually, I want to start a non-profit yoga studio in Dallas, Texas with a mission to empower at-risk kids with self-confidence. Imagine a world where kids can grow up in a stress-free environment, and I strongly believe that yoga is the foundation and starting point in achieving that goal.

Other than working at the store and teaching yoga, I love playing a good game of Taboo with my friends (I'm quite competitive), stargazing on my balcony, reading a new issue of the Entrepreneur Magazine, researching new fonts to download and new products to buy, and playing with my adorable 10-year old puggle, Jasmine!

About this picture: This picture was taken in Oahu while hiking along a trail to a lighthouse. Tadasana or Mountain Pose, promotes stillness and awareness of your surroundings and your body or breath. Look into the future, find your purpose and inspiration, and change the world. Remember to breathe and enjoy the journey!

Namaste!
