Currently I am a Ph.D candidate in the Soft Matter Physics Group in TU München. Three and a half year ago I undertook a project in thermoresponsive polymers as my doctoral project. This was a desicion based on my interest on Polymer Science, and Physics in general. My passion for the latter dates back to school, when I spent happily many hours reading books of various fields of Physics.
During my studies and my doctoral project, I have familiarized myself with several different aspects of Materials Science, with the focal point being the field of Polymer Science. My involvement in several international and/or interdisciplinary projects during all these years resulted in 10 publications in peer refereed journals, 5 oral and 6 poster presentations in internation conferences. You can get a more detailed grasp of my scientific profile in Research Gate. My field of expertise comprises various aspects of Polymer Science (e.g. polymer dynamics, nanocomposites, thermoresponsive behavior, colloidal growth etc.)
As now I am approaching the end of my commitment to the current project, which will end with the defence of my dissertation at the begininnig of March, I start looking for occupational possibilities that will allow me to bring my knowledge closer to application oriented problems.
My free time is equally distributed between the two other big loves of my life: reading and writing. Due to the latter and due to the fact that I spent some time abroad, away from people that I care about, I recently started my own blog. The theme of it is the Love from Distance and contains small stories and personal thoughts.
