Laura Bell
Student, Artist, and Public Speaker in Brampton, ON, Canada
When I was 13 years old, my Aunt was pregnant. This was first time in a long time that my family was having a baby. I remember I was so excited that I wanted to document everything!! I decided to create a video for my Aunt as a gift, to capture all the excitement and celebration of a new life! After the baby was born, I gave her the video and while watching, she began to cry. This was the first video I ever created. I remember that feeling of watching my Aunt’s reaction and that was when I realized that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I wanted to become a storyteller, but not with words - with visuals. My name is Laura and I am now in my 4th year at Ryerson University, studying Media Production. I am a storyteller. I am a painter. I am a photographer. I am a digital artist, and through my videos; I am an invisible artist. I always said, my art speaks more than I do, so if you want to learn more about me, here is some of my art in the form of Photography.
