Current 9th trimester doctorate of Naturopathic medicine candidate with an emphasis on using whole food nutrition, botanical medicine and homeopathy. Is delighted to be part of the new homeopathic rotation at the Whole Health Center as a 9th trimester clinic intern. My goal during this internship is to attempt to further my understanding of homeopathy and how it has an effect on the mind-body connection of disease. Other goals include: being able to treat a variety of conditions, being involved in community outreach health presentations and continue to network for future opportunities.

My professional goal is to become involved in NIH CAM based research, testing the safety and efficacy of supplements and botanical medicine. The future of medicine is complementary and alternative medicine as there are thousands of patients nationwide who are currently using these approaches. Research is needed to test the safety of its use as well as to help advocate for CAM based usage among medical practitioners. I am hoping to play an integral role in the progression of acceptance in using CAM methods.

Other research interests include: gastrointestinal biomes, biofilms, metabolic syndrome, diabetes , endometriosis and cancer related mechanisms.

Additional goals:
Utilizing the principle of Naturopathic medicine,"Docere" (doctor as teacher), I want to be able to devote some of my time as a community health educator geared towards educating the public about diabetes, metabolic syndrome, women's health, digestive health and preventative medicine.
I also have a strong passion for botanical medicine. Not only would I love to research botanicals but I would also love to teach botanical medicine.
