Kalamazoo, MI

Education: I'm a senior at Western Michigan University. My major is Aviation administration and sciences. My minor is General business. My expected date of graduation is the summer of 2014 for my BS.

External environment: With the aviation world growing rapidly, there needs to be more people filling important, and much needed, roles. I want to be that person fulfilling one of those roles. I don't just want a job, I want a career. I want aviation to be part of my life.

Internal environment: I always liked mentoring and leadership roles. I've had these types of roles in a variety of programs such as Civil Air Patrol, tutoring students, and volunteer programs. One trait that I want to improve on is public speaking. I've never been very good at it and would like to be better.

Core benefits: I've always had a strong passion for aviation. I believe that if you're not at least 5 minutes early, you're late. Once I commit to something, I see it through to the end. I think a healthy balance of personal and professional life is important and keeping them separate as well.

Skills: Well organized, energetic, and dependable. Works well in a group and independently. Able to think clearly and effectively under pressure. Proven ability to get along with co-workers and customers. Excellant oral and written communication skills.

I want to better myself and be an active leader in the aviation world. It would be with great pride and joy to say that I am part of this wonderful field.
