Lada Gaines

Lada Gaines is a musicologist, saxophonist, and accordionist living in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Originally from Humenne, Slovakia, Lada worked for a number of years in Bratislava at Music Centre, an important cultural agency in Slovak musical life. Lada studied saxophone for fifteen years with renowned Russian clarinetist and teacher Alexander Stepanov. As she finishes her work toward a Doctorate in Saxophone Performance from the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, Lada is working as a freelance musician in Wisconsin.
