Lydia Kelow-Bennett

I am a creative soul and doctoral student working on a Ph.D in Africana Studies at Brown University. My research focuses on how race is articulated through spaces/places, nations, and everyday practices, and how Black people have made a way (a map, really) through those often traumatic, dehumanizing experiences. My poetry and creative writing focuses on the ephemeral and hard-to-articulate aspects of Black life, love, and loss in the post-WWII era.
