I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Spanish and an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration. My experience ranges from public relations to event management.
I have produced large scale events, secured game day entertainment and event sponsorship, facilitated a variety of promotions, as well as created production scripts for sporting events. This includes scheduling all promotions, media time outs, PA announcements, score board ads, and game day entertainment.
I have also written a wide range of promotional content which includes press releases, programs, and media guides. I have even planned organizational appearances and acted as the main point of contact for all media inquiries.
I even finished my senior thesis on how NFL fans respond to various posts on Facebook and Twitter. Therefore, I am familiar with social media research and analytics. I also have experience updating and maintaining corporate websites with interactive content using my knowledge of HTML.
I currently cover boys and girls volleyball, girls basketball, and girls soccer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. I have had various articles and feature stories published including articles about the McDonald's All-American MVP and the No. 1 women's basketball recruit in the nation.
I am also proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Expressions, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Photoshop.
In my down time I spend my time writing books and training for half marathons. I am also a TV show junkie and love going on road trips. I also studied abroad in Spain in 2013 and have been dying to go back to Europe ever since.
