Lakila Richardson
Lakila J. Richardson serves as Co-Founder of the Blind Girl Vision, Foundation. Her professional skill sets include in depth experience in operations management, process improvement, financial review, and relationship management. Currently, she is a Regional Operations Director for DaVita, Inc, a Fortune 500 dialysis company, where in addition to her P&L and Operational responsibilities, she serves as an Ambassador for the Woody Brittain “Education is the Equalizer” Scholarship Award Program for High School Seniors.
Prior to joining DaVita, she worked as an Operations Manager completing stints in both Sales Operations and Warehousing for McMaster-Carr Industrial Supply Company. While at McMaster, she earned her MBA in Organizational Management from The Goizueta School of Business at Emory University. Before transitioning into operations, Lakila lived and traveled all over the US as a financial analyst in General Electric's acclaimed Financial Management Program. She joined GE immediately after graduating from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a B.S. in Finance.
Aside from her passion for serving others through the non-profit community, Lakila serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Aquarium and is a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Black MBA Association. In her spare time, Lakila enjoys international travel, making stops in a host of foreign countries. In addition to collecting passport stamps, Lakila loves spending time with family and friends, coaching girl's basketball, and seeking any opportunity to indulge in live performances. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia but originally hails from Fayetteville, North Carolina.
