Founded in 2013, Lakita Steel Public Relations is a firm servicing non-profit organizations, entertainment, and pop culture. Our mission is to bring strong publicity to our clients by building their brands through integrated marketing strategies.

LaKita Steel received an certificate in Music Production, Audio Engineering, and Music Business at the Institute of Audio Research (IAR) in New York. After graduating IAR, she decided that she was more interested in the business side more than the technical side of the music industry. LaKita then entered the transfer program through IAR, which turned her certificate into an Associates degree and enrolled at St. Johns University in New York. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Mass Communications with a minor in business.

LaKita’s love for music inspired her to start a blog with a Erika and called the blog Street Cosignor. LaKita utilized her media connections in the entertainment industry and interviewed and advertised upcoming, as well as established music artists. Keeping herself connected with the entertainment industry, she attended a few networking events weekly after work and landed herself a job as a Public Relations manager for a small PR firm, Media Hunter PR. During her time at Media Hunter PR, she became a certified Event Planner. After two years at Media Hunter PR, being the entrepreneur she was set out to be, LaKita followed her dream and launched her on Public Relations company.
Today, LaKita decided to advance her public relations knowledge. She is currently a student at Full Sail University in Florida obtaining her Masters degree online in Public Relations.
