Lama Chuck Stanford serves as the spiritual leaders and Executive Director of the Rime Buddhist Center, which he founded 25 years ago. In addition, Lama Chuck is the Buddhist Director at The Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council.

He discovered Buddhism in the 1980s and began meditating with Buddhists in the area. This experience reconnected Lama Chuck to spirituality and it was a truly powerful experience. It inspired Lama Chuck to start his own non-sectarian Buddhist center with his wife, which they have continued to run to this day.

Lama Chuck is extremely passionate about opening a dialogue between different people and promoting compassion and understanding between faiths. He is proud to be in a position to have an impact on those in his community and enjoys seeing the growth with those that he works with.
